Princesses Invade Castle

Rainbow Princesses at the Castle

On Saturday 24 April, to celebrate 100 years guiding worldwide, the Caithness branch of Rainbow Guiding held a Rainbow Princess Sparkle party in the Castle of Mey Visitor Centre. More princesses at once than the Castle has ever seen before attended the event and Miss Anne Dunnet, Lord Lieutenant of the County, was also in attendance.

Helpers & Anne with Princesses

On this occasion there were 48 beautiful Rainbow Princesses from Halkirk, Thurso and Wick Rainbow units. . They had fun, played games, ate lots of food, (much more than princesses normally eat!), but eventually in the true manner of princesses, they had to leave for home before they changed back to ordinary mortals. They all had a lovely day and many thanks must go to the organisers, Liz Bamber, Rainbow Link Guider for Caithness and fellow Rainbow Guiders.

Rainbow Princess Sparkle Party was held as part of the celebrations for 100 years of guiding worldwide. Each Rainbow, Brownie, guide, Senior Section member is supposed to be part of a centenary adventure this year, and the party was the Rainbow's one for Caithness.
