End of Year Highlights
We are close to the end of 2016 now, and what a year it has been at the Castle and Gardens of Mey.

It gives us great pleasure to report we have seen a grand total of 21,622 visitors through our doors this year - an incredible 16% increase from last year! Whether you have taken the Castle Tour, ambled through the Gardens or simply had a cup of tea and slice of cake in the Tearoom - we hope you enjoyed your visit to the Castle and to see you again in the future.

After a year and a half of maintenance work on the Castle involving the picking and pointing of walls, we are now scaffolding free! We are glad to see the Castle looking as beautiful as ever.

At the end of the season this year Alice the Donkey, Libby the Goat and all their friends moved into some lovely new accommodation. The newly built Animal Centre is now situated behind the East Garden past the cannons and through the trees.

We are very happy that we have retained our Green Tourism Gold Award and Taste our Best Award for our Tearoom check out all that we are doing to be green on our Environmental Policy page!

This year we have had the honour of being selected to be a Case Study for WorldHost Customer Service our Customer Service is of the upmost importance to us and we try to provide the very best experience for our visitors. Check back on the website in the new year for a link to the case study.

Now all that is left to say is we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - see you in 2017!
